"First open mat back, I hit a duck-under like it was 1998. My knees reminded me it wasn't — but my brain was already hooked."

YOUR BODY
STILL KNOWS
THE STANCE.

January is when the itch becomes undeniable. You watched folkstyle nationals on your phone at 11 PM and felt it — the weight of a stance you haven't been in since your senior year. Come find out what's still there.

  • No-ego open drilling — everyone was a beginner again at some point

Spring — Technique Clinics

DRILLING IS
HOW YOU
REMEMBER.

Spring clinics are where the rust comes off. Eight-week cycles built around single technique families — leg attacks, top control, scramble defense — coached by athletes who competed past 40 and know exactly where your body's compensating.

Weeks 3–4High-crotch and redirect

Fall — Competition Season

THE ROOM IS
FULL OF
PEOPLE LIKE YOU.

Fall competition season runs September through November — state opens, regional tournaments, and senior circuit events. You don't have to compete. But you'll want to. The people who went through a full year of Takedown training consistently tell us the same thing: they didn't realize how ready they were until they stepped on the mat.
